Nadim Bahsoun is a Lebanese queer performer, choreographer and activist. Trained in theatre and dance in Beirut, he later moved to France to study economics, then performing arts at Nice University (UNSA) and at Paris 8 University. Other training inputs include Rosella Hightower School of Dance courses and a summer programme at PARTS, Brussels. His practice is also shaped by local dance repertoire from the Levant region.
Passionate about education, Nadim Bahsoun has been teaching dance for five years at Nice University and also worked with refugees in Lebanon, Egypt, Germany and Greece. As a performer and assistant choreographer, Bahsoun collaborated with prominent companies and choreographers, such as Nadia Beugré, Olivia Granville, David Wampach, Redhouane El Meddeb, Fouad Boussouf, Nancy Naous, Blanca Li.
Other artistic collaborations include independant cinema with film directors Chloé Mazlo and in 2021 Mohamad Shawky Hassan. He is currently co-creating a physical theatre play with writer and director Mona El Yafi, as well as writing his first personal project, a dance interactive performance, System Error.
