Inés Sybille Vooduness is a dancer, cultural researcher and teacher born in Barcelona. Kuduro and Coupé Décalé shape her movement. Her practice also draws on voodoo cultures to create fictional identities and revisit memories and includes cybernetic search to generate a dance in a constant technological expansion.
Inés Vooduness benefited from a fellowship of La Casa Encendida in 2023 for her piece Santa de sustrato autónomo, a work presented at the Teatro do Bairro Alto Lisbon as part of the Ou.kupa Festival and and at the Aurora Negra’s Kilombo at the Alkantara Festival, both in Lisbon, at Centro Cultural del Carme as part of the Circuito Bucles Festival in Valencia, at Espai Fundació Joan Brossa as part of the Tro Festival in Barcelona.
Inés Sybille Vooduness is currently working on a new piece, Simbi in astronomical waters to be premiered in September 2024 at the TNT Festival (Terrassa).
